In the last two years, the Covid pandemic has shaken the world and has raised serious questions about our lifestyles. When humankind was suffering through the trauma of this unforeseen pandemic, we realized the extent of alienation from nature that we had put ourselves into. They got interested in a holistic life and started yoga, meditation, organic food, etc. in an attempt to mend the damaged relationship between us and nature. Sharing the same experience, a group of young people from Kota started a space named Srot Farm where others like them can come and join a holistic lifestyle.

In past years, to increase production, our farmers have been forced to use hybrid seeds and foreign breeds of cows. This has caused a steep decline in the population of native breeds, which produce relatively less milk. The native and heirloom seeds have also become rare. If some encouraging steps are not taken immediately, there will always be a looming fear of losing these seeds and cow breeds. An important part of our natural heritage is on the brink of extinction. We need to encourage our region's farmers to grow these local seeds and use native cow breeds for milk production by paying them a well-deserved fair value that is reasonably higher than the mandi prices.
Our mission is to save and protect these native breeds and species, encourage farmers to keep native cows, help transform their chemical farming methods to organic farming by ensuring better prices and inspire and reconnect the urban consumer to the ancient Vedic farming traditions. For the same, we are producing chemical-free products (A2 milk, bilona ghee, chaach, chemical-free flour, cold press ghani oils, pickles, etc.) and organizing workshops and farmer meetings to encourage other farmers and consumers to join us.

There is an urgent need to accept a healthy and chemical-free lifestyle after the pandemic. The way to a prosperous future can only be sustainable, holistic, and chemically free.
